Dingley Village Craft market

Dingley Village Craft market

Dingley village was founded over 150 years ago and has always been a farming community, where dingley village is relatively remote from either the bayside or Gippsland railway lines, moving into market gardens and poultry to supply metropolitan markets.

The market gardens and the availability of large tracts of land saw the development of a large number of golf courses around the area. The Kingston golf club being the first of these, opening in 1936.

With the urbanisation in and around dingley (early 1960s), a small shopping centre, school, kindergarten, reserve and, later, Sunday Markets on the reserve created a village atmosphere which resulted in the official change of name.

The Dingley Village Craft & Produce Market is held on the first Sunday of each month (excluding January). Our market year consists of 11 Sunday market days and one Twilight Market, held on the third Friday in December. The twilight market is part of our normal market calendar and as such all stall holders are expected to attend.
